1. Who this agreement is with
OneMix Mastering is operated by Sander van der Waal, a sole trader (autónomo) based in Alicante, Spain. These Terms govern any mastering, stem mastering, vinyl prep, album mastering, or related audio service ("Services") booked through onemixmastering.com. By submitting a quote request, uploading files, or making payment, you ("the Client") agree to these Terms.
2. Services and turnaround
Stereo Mastering and Stem Mastering are offered at the flat rates shown on the site at the time of booking. Vinyl prep, full album mastering, rush delivery, and label/catalogue work are quoted individually. Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from receipt of complete, usable source files, unless a different timeline is agreed in writing. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by file quality issues, incomplete information, or exceptional circumstances outside our control.
3. Revisions
Every project includes 3 rounds of revisions at no extra cost, covering reasonable adjustments to the delivered master (e.g. level, tonal balance, dynamics). Revisions must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Requests for a fundamentally different creative direction, or revisions requested after the 30-day window, may be treated as a new paid project at our discretion.
4. Payment and refunds
Payment is due as specified at the time of booking. Once mastering work has begun on a project, that project is non-refundable. This reflects that you're paying for an engineer's time and expertise, not a guaranteed specific outcome — the included revisions are the mechanism for making sure you're happy with the result. If you need to cancel before work has begun, contact us and we'll work it out.
5. Ownership of the master
Once a project is delivered and paid in full, you own the resulting master outright. We claim no ongoing rights to the finished audio. You are responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights to any material you submit for mastering — by submitting files, you confirm you have the right to have them processed and that doing so does not infringe any third party's rights. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from source material you did not have the right to submit.
6. File handling and retention
You are responsible for keeping your own backup copies of original source files before submission — we are not a substitute for your own backup practice. Source files and project data are typically retained for a limited period after delivery (currently planned at 90 days) to support the revision window above, after which they may be deleted. Finished masters are retained longer, but we recommend downloading and archiving your own copies promptly after delivery.
7. Communication
Project updates, revision requests, and delivery notifications are sent to the email address provided at booking. It's your responsibility to keep that address monitored and to respond to requests for feedback in reasonable time — delays on your end may affect turnaround.
8. Liability
Services are provided with reasonable skill and care, but we make no guarantee of any specific commercial, chart, or streaming-platform outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from these Services is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute not resolved directly will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Alicante, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your own country of residence.
10. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
